The exterior of your car needs special care if you're going to keep the exterior looking glossy. At BEN BISSETT CHEVROLET, INC., we love helping customers maintain the beauty of their vehicles, and we have a couple of tips on how you can keep your vehicle's exterior looking great for years to come.

One of the first things that you should do after you've thoroughly washed the outside of your car is look for any chips in the paint or rust spots. Sand out the rust spots; then, fill in any chips in the paint with a paint repair kit. It's important that you get all of the rust out so that it doesn't spread.

If you see rust spots that look like they're below the surface, get a clay bar to lift them out. They're often on the sides of the car, and you can especially see them on white and silver cars. They're either rail dust or flints of metal from worn out brakes, and the metal will rust, leaving orange flecks over your vehicle.
